Villarreal Studio Students Take the Stage in IU Opera Theater’s Oklahoma!

Villarreal Studio students Julianna Banfe (B.M., junior) and Preston Rogers (M.M., second year) performed in Indiana University Opera Theater’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, the final musical production of the season.

Banfe took on the leading role of Laurey Williams, while Rogers appeared as Ali Hakim. The production gave both singers the opportunity to bring their vocal and dramatic work to one of the Jacobs School of Music’s major stages, closing the season with one of the most enduring works of the American musical-theatre repertoire.
